Could ABC’s ‘Blood & Oil’ Be the New ‘Dallas’?

The CBS classic “Dallas” had viewers glued to their seats for 14 dynamic and dramatic seasons. Now ABC’s new prime time soap, starring Don Johnson of Miami Vice and Chace Crawford of “Gossip Girl,” is hoping their sexy drama can lasso some Texas-size ratings, too. “It’s contemporary. It’s current; it’s geopolitical; it’s about sex; it’s about the seven deadly sins — it’s got it all going there,” Johnson told “The Insider With Yahoo” correspondent Michael Yo of his new show, “Blood & Oil.” The pilot episode airs September 27th, 2015 on ABC.

In the new television series Blood & Oil Don Johnson plays Hap Briggs, an oil tycoon. Chace Crawford plays Bill Lefever. Rebecca Rittenhouse plays Cody Lefever (Bill’s wife). Amber Valletta plays Carla Briggs (Hap Briggs wife). Scott Michael Foster plays Wick Briggs.
