Friday Night Lights Author Buzz Bissinger Looks Back 25 Years Later

It’s no secret that Friday Night Lights is one of my all time favorite shows. Once I started watching that first episode, it was all over. About a week of my life was spent plastered in front of the TV. For me, Friday Night Lights is that show. You know, the one that introduces a person to the extreme joy of binge watching. A show talked about years later. A show that stays etched in a persons memory.

With that said, before “Friday Night Lights” became a cult classic television series, it was a book. The book, much like the tv series is based on the trials and tribulations of a high school football team (the Panthers of Odessa — the winningest High School football team in Texas history) along with their friends, classmates, coaches and teachers.

Recently the author Buzz Bissinger released a 25th anniversary addition of the book called: Friday Night Lights, 25th Anniversary Edition: A Town, a Team, and a Dream. As a tribute to the release of the book, Buzz visited with six of the former football players he originally profiled.

The book is available in the following formats: Hardcover, Paperback, Kindle and Audio.
